I am planning to go to s.c.on october 21 2012. what part of Yhe Blue

Ridge will show more colors? Tks

Peak foliage in the North Carolina area of the Blue Ridge Parkway is typically the end of October, beginning of November, though I think should see plenty of color around October 21st, particularly at the higher elevations. If you're coming down from the north, you might also get some color along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, which leads into the Blue Ridge Parkway. Both North Carolina's and Virginia's tourism boards do a good job of tracking the fall-foliage color, though they haven't yet started reporting for this year. But if you bookmark following websites, you'll be able to get updates starting around mid- to late September:
