I am planning to attend the birthday weekend of Dean Martin in Steubenville this coming...
I am planning to attend the birthday weekend of Dean Martin in Steubenville this coming June. I would like to travel there with a friend by bus or train. I have access to NYC Port Authority and NY and NJ train stations. Could you advise me as to the most direct way to travel to Steubenville and recommend a reasonable hotel/motel. I appreciate your help. I am over age 13.

The best option, I think, is to take Amtrak from NYC to Pittsburgh. Steubenville, Ohio, is about 50 miles west of Pittsburgh. I couldn't find info for bus service to Steubenville; you could rent a car or possibly hop a cab (book ahead and see if you can negotiate a fixed fare). Greyhound also runs services to Pittsburgh from New York City, which will be a bit cheaper than the train.
