I would like to see the Statue, the site where the WTC was, then travel to town and see time sq, rockefellow building. How is the best weay to get to NYC and how much do the subways cost and which line do I take? And when - I would like to go to the Statue first and then the rest of the city.

Riding the subway is very easy and will cost you $2.25 for a basic fare. Check out the subway map before you go so that you can plan things out (http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm). There are two options for seeing the Statue of Liberty. You can take a ferry out to the island itself (more expensive), or hop on the public ferry that trawls between lower Manhattan and St. George on Staten Island (cheaper but with the same great views of Lady Liberty). Visit http://www.nps.gov/STLI/index.htm for more on travel to the monument itself.
