I am Patient Services Director of the ALS Association, North Texas Chapter. I have a patient who is planning a trip to London with friends. I am trying to help him negotiate through the disability issues that may hamper his trip. He will travel in a power wheelchair. And, he will need so equipment that is too cumbersome to take with him. Do you have any resources to which I can check for his needs to make sure these are arranged ahead to prevent his being able to mobilize when there?

The following website offers a directory of disability equipment providers: http://bit.ly/baVUNQ

The National Association of Disablement Information offers an advice line that provides information on accessibility in London: +44(0)1302 310123

Artsline is a website that highlights London's accessible arts and entertainment: http://bit.ly/9g5Qb6

I hope this helps you arrange your patient's travel plans.
