You should come to northern Minnesota. It has many many deer, different kinds of birds, moose, a few bear, (but you probably wont see any they, are very scared of humans) there is snow from November, through March. There are also many flowers, and a ton of different trees, so the air is very good. Their are modern people their, which your mother might enjoy. I am talking about places like Bimidji, Blackduck, and Mizzpau, MN.

Am assuming you're looking to visit North Carolina, and not just any state with snow, right? Obviously in the Southeast, snow's never a sure thing, but at higher elevation in the Smokies you might get a dusting. For guaranteed snow, head to Cataloochee Ski Area in Maggie Valley, NC, where they make snow for the ski trails. No wildlife here, unless you count the knuckle-dragging 'boarders. Otherwise, shoot for the Smokies in areas like Asheville. Good luck!
