Hey! I am an exchange student in the suburb of Chicago this year. My sister and my boyfriend is coming over to visit me for two weeks during christmas break, We will be able to go downtown Chicago by train either december 23, or 26. So I want to give them a christmas present that says that I am taking them downtown Chicago for a day. I want to show them the Willis tower, and I just wondered about other things that is special about Chicago I could show them, or things that we could do together at this dates in Chicago. I also want to take them out for dinner, any recommendation for where to take them? Thanks

The traditional eatery for Xmas in Chicago is the Walnut Room on the 7th fl. of Macy's on State St. Try to reserve, otherwise the line is forever. Do NOT miss the German Christmas market on Daley Plaza...very special. Ice skating in Millennium Park is cool, free, skate rental, $10. And the lights on the Magnificent Mile of Michigan Ave....beautiful.

There are plenty of things to do over the holidays in Chicago. Check out the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival (http://bit.ly/4DgKUf), Chicago Botanic Garden for the Wonderland Express (http://bit.ly/2ucdlf) or the Christkindlmarket (http://bit.ly/9SsfHO). For dining options, there are dozens of restaurants to choose from depending on your budget or preferences. Check out Dining Chicago for area and menu options (http://bit.ly/fj5TJU).
