As of July 28, Panama City has not been effected by the Deep Water oil spill. The Panama City Beach authorities are communicating with government agencies monitoring the spill. The sand is white, and there is no scent of oil in the air. The environmental factors are subject to change, so it is best to contact the county's chamber of commerce before you visit.
