You do not need a passport to enter the US Virgin Islands, as long as you are a US Citizen.

U.S. citizens do not need a passport to travel to the USVI (as the tourism board proudly screams on its homepage at www.usvitourism.vi). If you are traveling with kids, though, you may want to bring their birth certificates.
