Pat, T L Bar Ranch (http://www.tlbarranch.com) is a working horse and cattle farm slightly to the north of Drumheller, located near the northwestern edge of Alberta's Badlands in the Red River Valley area. They offer overnight lodging and camping, as well as pasture for overnighting horses ($10/horse). Miles of scenic trails in the area, plus guided horseback riding if you don't have your own horses. Closer to Drumheller, you might also check out Echo Coulee Guest Ranch (http://www.canadianbadlandsbandbassociation.com/echo.html) and Buffalo Jump Canyon Ranch (http://www.buffalojumpcanyon.com), the only outfitter with a permit to lead rides through Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park. You might call either of these places to ask about other local horse camps and trail-riding advice.
