Car seat for a 16 month old while in Bermuda? My husband and I are traveling to Bermuda with or 16month old. I am concerned about getting around the island via taxi. Although we do not plan on spending much time touring the island I am still concerned about her safety while transfering from the airport to the hotel and back. I am trying to avoid hauling the car seat with me. Any suggestions?

Your best bet is to check with the local taxi companies. They might be able to provide infant seats. Here are some contacts/numbers: Bermuda Industrial Union Taxi Coop (+011-441-292-4476); BTA (+011-441-296-2121); Bermuda Taxi Radio Cabs (+011-441-295-4141); Sandy's Taxi Co. (+011-441-234-2344). Can't guarantee what you'll actually get once you're on the ground, but this should at least give you some peace of mind. Separately, you might want to check with your hotel concierge for their recommendations for the best local taxi companies.
