Not sure of your budget, but you might try the Paradisus Riviera Cancun, a great spot for families. Despite its name, it's actually located south of the Big C in the quieter Riviera Maya stretch: http://away.com/family-resorts/paradisus-riviera-cancun-puerto-morelos.html
