Any suggestion for a good inexpensive family seafood restaurant? We will visit Martha's vineyard in June and just have no idea of what to expect. We will be staying at The Cove West Yarmouth.

Fishbones is kind of touristy. Nancy's, right near the OB dock also, is better. The best is if you take a bus Up Island to Menemsha and order food at this little shack called "The Bite." You can also get seafood (cooked or not) right off the boats there (Larson's seafood runs a shop) and watch a sunset over water. Bring beach chairs. And wine.

Martha's Vineyard is a diverse and laid-back island, perfect for families. While some things on the island are known, and rightly so, to be expensive, there are many family- and budget-friendly options for seafood restaurants. Most ferries come to the island at Oak Bluffs, and you'll find many water-front restaurants, like Fishbones Cafe, right at the docks, all of which are casual and suitable for families.

If you venture from Oak Bluffs into Edgartown, check out Sharkey's for seafood with a Mexican vibe, The Seafood Shanty for great water views, or Square Rigger, which is an Edgartown favorite for seafood (note that it's not on the water).

Lots of places offer take-out, so you could always buy some fried clams and lobster rolls, and have a picnic on the beach!
