Guilin, located in southern China, is famous for having the most picturesque landscape in China. Guilin has four highlights: Guilin urban area, Li River, Longji Rice Terraces and Yangshuo County. Taking a cruise on Li River should not be missed, no matter how short your tour is. You can follow the 55-kilometer cruise from Guilin country suburbans to Yangshuo Town.

Of course, there is loads to see and do in Hong Kong itself (the central district, Wanchai, Kowloon, Stanley, outlying islands like Lantau). Otherwise, check out Macau or head inland to explore southern Chinese cities like Guangzhou. Depending on your time and budget, you could easily pick up cheap airfare to places like Taiwan, the Phillipines, or Vietnam (all not too far away, relatively speaking).
