What to do in Anguilla
The island of Anguilla in the Lesser Antilles is the Barbie doll of all the landmasses in the Caribbean Sea—you can dress it up to be anything you want it to be. Barefoot and boozy? The local vibe is still very much intact, and you’ll easily find a spot that serves the day’s catch with an encyclopedic variety of tropical rum drinks. Out for the glitz? Some of the Caribbean’s most posh resorts can be found here, along with some the world’s most famous celebrities. And for those who can’t stay still, you’ve got a near-perfect tropical climate, stretches of milk-white sand staged with yellow bougainvillea and scarlet oleanders, and water as clear as cellophane—snorkel with stingrays, scuba dive with sea turtles, and fish for yellow- and black-fin tuna. But regardless of the activity level, you'll all be living on island time together.
